Opportunities as a Mackinac Center Scholar

The Mackinac Center for Public Policy is always seeking qualified university faculty--as well as non-university economists, attorneys, and other specialists--to join its Board of Scholars. Center Scholars provide multi-disciplinary guidance on policy formulation, assist with educational programs, and engage in research and writing on both a paid and pro bono basis.

The Mackinac Center research is based on sound theoretical principles, but at the same time emphasizes that proposed policy solutions must be both relevant and practical. While Mackinac Center reports maintain a high level of academic scholarship, they are written to be accessible by the intelligent lay public, public officials, and other key decision makers. Excellent oral and written communication skills are especially prized in potential Mackinac Center scholars.

If you are interested in learning more about the Mackinac Center's Board of Scholars, please contact Joseph G. Lehman, Executive Vice President.
